How do genetics effect weight loss?

How can CoolSculpting help with genetics and fat loss.

Genetics are everything to humans. They are what make us up. They are what define our hair color, our eye color, what diseases we may be predisposed to, when we go gray, and a thousand other things that scientists haven’t even figured out yet. Although we know that genetics can lay out a path for our entire lives, there are things that doctors tell us to do based on our genetic background. If there’s a history of lung cancer, don’t smoke. If there’s a history of diabetes in your family, try to limit your intake of certain foods. If you have a family history of arthritis, do your best to stay active. What happens, though, when you have a genetic disposition to being overweight?
For the longest time, doctors and scientists didn’t think there was a genetic connection to weight. They simply thought that if a parent was larger, they passed down the bad habits to their child that led to their obesity. Now, thankfully, they are learning that although it may be the case, this isn’t always true. While we have known for a while that some people simply have “big bones”, the belief that people who are overweight aren’t always at fault is a relatively new idea. It has shown up periodically through history, but we finally have some medical and scientific proof to back up this claim.
If you are someone who comes from a family of naturally thin people, you know that a lot of people likely ask how you do it. Often, you probably just shrug and say “It’s how all my family is” or “We just have fast metabolisms”. Well, the reverse can also be true. Sometimes, people are just naturally larger. While this can be a sign of more serious problems such as thyroid issues, sometimes it’s just how it is. It’s not fair, of course, but as much as we try, we can’t fight genetics.
If you are one of these people who just can’t seem to get rid of that genetic pudge, try checking into ThinSculpting and our patented FDA approved technique. Although not designed to cure obesity, we can get rid of that stubborn belly fat if you are in the Triangle Region. Helping Yourself After CoolSculpting

How exercise and diet can help your CoolSculpting results.

CoolSculpting is a wonderful weight loss breakthrough. There are very few people who will deny this fact, especially if they have had this procedure done themselves. People have shown incredible results and more and more before and after pictures continue to roll in and astound us. Nothing makes us happier than seeing a patient who is happy with themselves and the transformation they experienced. Conversely, nothing makes us more upset than someone who has gone through our procedure and is not happy with how they look by the end of the process. While there are many reasons why someone may not be happy with how they look by the end, there are just as many ways that someone could help the process along while they are undergoing treatment.
The first way to help achieve even better results than CoolSculpting alone can give you is eating right. If you already do, that’s great! Unfortunately, many of us don’t eat correctly already and all of the weight loss procedures in the world won’t help you get rid of the fact that you have a guilty habit of eating an entire sleeve of cookies and milk in one sitting. While a cookie or two every now and then is perfectly fine, a whole line of them is a very big no-no. This becomes increasingly true if you are trying to lose weight. Sure, we all have weak moments, but a weight loss procedure will not be able to combat the weight gain if those weak moments happen often. Try getting rid of any unhealthy food in the house (and no, that doesn’t mean eat it all in one go) so you won’t be tempted by it anymore.
Another good way to help along the CoolSculpting procedure is standard exercise. If you move a little more than normal each day, you can see incredible results. Just a little bit of exercise will prove to increase your weight loss and will help build muscle mass instead of just getting rid of fat. Don’t worry if you don’t see the scale go down as much, though, muscle weighs more than fat does. Focus instead on your measurements to track your progress.
At ThinSculpting, we want you to be happy with your body. If that means we are part of your journey, that’s wonderful! Remember that you need to help your body along, and we’re sure that you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Call 1-800-THIN-YOU today to schedule your consultation. ThinSculpting is excited to be the first clinic in the Triangle exclusively dedicated to CoolSculpting.

Hate it. Freeze it. Love it

Hate it. Freeze it. Love it. Learn to love yourself and fear no mirror!

Don’t worry, this isn’t going to be about a pop song no matter how you feel about it. No, this is actually about the importance of loving yourself. We all have those days where we don’t feel that great about who we are, no matter what we tell other people. It may be about how we look, it may be about where we are in life, or about how our bodies are shaped. This is never a good place to be, and thankfully for many of us this feeling only shows up now and then. For a large majority of us, however, we have this feeling almost every day. It’s never a fun feeling and although we want to get rid of it, it has a tendency to stick around like that embarrassing picture from 7th grade that you don’t know how it keeps popping up.
If this feeling is one that you experience often, do me a favor. Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Maybe take a few of them. Try and silence whatever voice may be telling you what is upsetting you and know that we think you’re wonderful just how you are. It doesn’t matter that we can’t see you, we know that you are a wonderful human being. We mean it. Now, think hard about what it is you don’t like about yourself. If this were to change, would you be happy? Is this what you really feel bad about or is it something else, something deeper? If you’re not sure, that’s okay. Most of us don’t really know what we want and that just means that we need to gain more experience from life. If you know that it is something deeper, then perhaps a trained doctor would be helpful for you to talk to. If your mental health isn’t solid, your physical health won’t be either. If this is the case, please do what you can to get yourself healthy again. You are important and we want to see you happy.
If, however, your problem with yourself is the size of your waist or other parts of your body, then we are the ones who can help. Our FDA approved CoolSculpting procedure can help you eliminate that pesky belly fat and hopefully feel confident again. Call 1-800-THIN-YOU and see if we can help you on your journey to loving yourself once again! ThinSculpting’s unique technology, CoolSculpting, uses controlled cooling to freeze and remove unwanted fat cells without surgery or downtime.

Pregnancy is a Beautiful Thing

Pregnancy is a Beautiful Thing

Pregnancy is one of the most beautiful and natural things the human body can produce. Sure, there are some not so beautiful moments, but in the end, it’s all worth it. You get to hold your baby and know what you did is nothing short of miraculous. Your body just produced a little human and, even though it’s exhausting, you should feel like a Goddess for making it through this. So why do so many people “fat shame” people who are pregnant or have just given birth? After all, they wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for a woman just like you.

The sad thing is, people have placed such a stigma on being “overweight” for any reason. You see it all over the tabloids and celebrity magazines, women who have just given birth a couple of weeks ago called fat and told they need to work harder to get rid of that baby weight. Sometimes it’s enough to make you scream in anger, other times it’s enough to make you cry and look around at those close to you, wondering who thinks you look fat because you aren’t back to your old size within a month of childbirth. It’s a shame that women today are made to feel horrible about themselves after such an incredible feat, but some people simply don’t understand how difficult it is to keep yourself and your baby healthy so soon after birth. Some women happen to feel this way as well, and it can be the most discouraging when those who have been through what you have take the same attitude as those who haven’t. So what’s a woman to do?

The first thing you can do is look in the mirror and look at your precious newborn child. Realize that everyone carries the weight, both during and after pregnancy, differently. Some women are able to leave the hospital in the same clothes they wore before they were pregnant while some just cannot get the weight off. Whichever way you are, realize that it is not your fault or something you can control. Also think if you feel uncomfortable with your body or if you have been told you should be. There is a big difference and a lot of the hormones that are introduced during pregnancy can skew how you feel moment to moment.

Once you have done this and thought about it, if you are certain that you want to get help getting rid of some of that baby weight, call 800-8-THIN-YOU to see if you are eligible. Just remember, you have done an amazing thing and now you have something absolutely wonderful to show for it. Congratulations on your new tiny human!

Now you’re wondering if you are a candidate. You’ve done your research, you’ve seen the before and after pictures, you’ve heard all the testimonials, but can you add your words to theirs? Well let’s see!
1. Are you Male or Female? It doesn’t matter!! That’s the beautiful thing about the CoolSculpting process, anyone can use it. It doesn’t matter if you are male or female by birth or what you identify as, you can be a patient here at ThinSculpting. Isn’t that already a bit of good news?
2. Where do you want to lose the weight? Where is your trouble spot? Is it the tummy? Maybe it’s your thighs. Perhaps it’s those annoying love handles or maybe it’s your chin that you can’t seem to shrink down. Well that’s just fine, we can help with all of those! Those are those trouble spots that we were just talking about and we know that those are the most difficult areas to lose weight from. It’s so upsetting, but never fear that’s why we are here!
3. Have you had cosmetic procedures in the past? Well that’s just fine too! Even if you have had prior procedures to lose weight, we can still help you. This is because the CoolSculpting process is non-invasive and only targets the fat cells that surround those trouble areas and helps you slim down those spots despite the fact that you may have already attempted another path.
4. Are you generally within 30 pounds of your ideal weight? While ThinSculpting isn’t a cure for obesity, it can help you shave off those fat deposits as long as you are a healthy weight and live a healthy lifestyle. If you are unsure of this question, you can always talk to your doctor and double check.
If these questions received a yes, then congratulations! You may certainly be a candidate for the ThinSculpting procedure! Just call over to us here in the Triangle region at 800-8THIN-YOU today!
