We always hear dozens of different explanations as to why certain people have to deal with their bodies taking on the shape they do. For many people it comes down to things like genetics or what they eat. While there are obviously some medical issues that can impact how you look and where your fat likes to congregate in your body, those aren't the only factors that you need to take into consideration when you're trying to figure out why you can't seem to get rid of those problem areas. There are also a few things that you can help just by changing a few things about your normal day.
One of the biggest problems that people have in regards to their weight settling in certain areas is their activity. While we certainly aren't saying that everyone needs to be moving all the time, it has been proven that physical activity can help you get into or stay in shape. Unfortunately, due to work and such, not everyone has the time to really get in a lot of physical activity. When your job also includes a lot of sitting down, it can have a very real effect on where your fat seems to settle. This can mean that you end up with larger problem areas than you would have otherwise.
With any sort of sedentary position, it isn't uncommon for someone to notice that they're gaining weight. The issue often comes when they're mostly gaining weight in one area. If you sit a lot for your work, this is probably in your buttocks and lower stomach. This is also, unfortunately, one of the most difficult areas to lose weight from once it's there. We all know how hard it can be to stand up and walk around at work, but there are little things that you can do at your desk which can help you cut down on those fatty areas so you don't have to try and cram it all in after you clock out.
