Do I Qualify?

Do I Qualify?

There are a lot of questions that people have about CoolSculpting by ThinSculpting, and one of the most common ones is whether or not someone can have this procedure done. We want to help clear up as much of that confusion as possible, so today I want to talk to you about whether or not you qualify for this body sculpting procedure. Even the safest and simplest procedures will have people who, for one reason or another, should not have it done. However, we want to make sure that everyone who can have this done knows they are eligible.

For the most part, almost everyone is able to go through the CoolSculpting procedure, so it will be quicker and easier to explain any issues that may prevent someone from having a safe session. One of the biggest reasons to hold off on CoolSculpting is pregnancy. If you are pregnant or had a baby very recently, you will want to wait a little while before coming in. Although there is a large push for people to “bounce back” after having a child, it is important to remember that pregnancy is technically physically traumatic. Not only have you be constantly changing size for the past approximately 40 weeks, but your hormones are extremely unbalanced for a while as well. This is even more true if you are breastfeeding. Give yourself time to recover and to spend with your new baby before scheduling a CoolSculpting session.

Another thing that could exclude you from CoolSculpting is if you have certain cold-related diseases, such as Raynaud’s. As you may have gathered, CoolSculpting uses cold technology to “freeze” fat cells, so anyone who may have an adverse reaction to cold should not go undergo this treatment. Another group of people who may need to pass are those with certain nerve disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis or Fibromyalgia. Always speak to your primary doctor first and see if CoolSculpting is a good idea for you.

Here at the Triangle Region’s only diamond rated CoolSculpting facility, we want to help as many people as possible. Unfortunately, however, we do sometimes need to turn people away from treatment. If you are unsure about your candidacy, call us at 800-8-THIN-YOU or come into our Cary, Raleigh, or Durham locations. Our Certified CoolSculpting technicians can answer any questions you may still have and help you find the thin that is in you!

Changing Body Shape

Changing Body Shape

If you are like most people, your body shape has changed a couple of times over the course of your life. It is perfectly natural that your body changes over time. You change how much you move, your metabolism goes through different speeds, and your diet likely changes too. While it may be frustrating for one reason or another, there's nothing wrong with your body changing over time. You'll find that no matter what you do, you can't always keep the shape you had in your teens and 20s. While there are some things that you can do to keep yourself mostly “in shape”, nothing is going to promise that you stay thin and petite as you age.

One of the most frustrating parts about getting older is when your body shape changes frequently. You may find yourself gaining weight and then losing it again with little rhyme or reason as to why either has happened. While there might be an obvious reason sometimes (such as pregnancy or injury), this isn't always the case. Many people know at least one person who has gone through medical testing to see why they seem to be changing weight, even though they haven't changed much about their lifestyle. It is often frustrating to not know why your body is reacting to things the way it is, and having no control over it can leave you feeling tired, exasperated, and even a bit scared. While we may have a working idea about what can cause changes in the body, there will always be things we don't understand.

Trying to deal with any changes in body shape can be disheartening and often leave you feeling self-conscious. We understand this all too well, and want to do everything we can to help. If you aren't happy with how you look currently, you can always call 800-8THIN-YOU and set up an appointment for your free consultation.
